Administrative Assistant
Location: Houston, TX (In-Office)

About the Role
Elda River is seeking a dependable, organized, and proactive Administrative Assistant to support our growing Houston office. This position is a hands-on role that includes everything from welcoming visitors and managing day-to-day operations, to coordinating schedules, supporting team members, and partnering with our Chicago office to keep both offices running smoothly. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in being the operational backbone of an office, enjoys variety in their day, and brings a professional, can-do attitude to every task.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, vendors, and deliveries, ensuring a professional and welcoming office environment.
- Manage day-to-day office operations, including supplies, pantry, mail, and conference room readiness.
- Coordinate internal meetings, calendars, and conference room scheduling.
- Arrange light travel and process expense reports for Houston-based professionals.
- Help plan and execute internal events, team gatherings, and visits from senior leadership or guests.
- Support document binding, printing, and packet preparation for meetings.
- Partner closely with the Executive Assistant in our Chicago office to ensure seamless coordination across both locations.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of discretion.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to “pitch in” wherever needed.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of administrative, office coordinator, or receptionist experience (financial, professional, or energy services a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and video conferencing tools (Teams, Zoom).
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Polished, professional demeanor with a service-oriented mindset.
- Proven discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
